Hey! Oh man, Mexico City was THE BEST. Seriously. King Khan & BBQ were amazing, Valerie is the coolest, thanks everyone for coming out and having a blast. We can't wait to go back someday!



On Wednesday, we are going to hang around NYC and watch our friends Wavves, Woods and Real Estate play at Bowery Ballroom. You should go.

We are playing with Fucked Up and Women at the Phoenix Theatre in Toronto and it's going to be awesome. You should go.



Then we are all caravan-ing down to Chicago to hang out for the entirety of Pitchfork Fest (which will be awesome, you should go.)

Just some updates...

Hey! Since we started, we have been compiling a list of every show we've ever played. It is located here . We are missing some information about bands that we played with, so if you can help out, we would really appreciate it!

I don't know if you know this, but we tweet.

The Moped Girls 7" IS being repressed, don't worry! The Wild Eyes 7" WAS repressed, and is being distributed by Revolver, so go ask your local record store for a copy. If you haven't heard, our 2nd album (entitled Everything Goes Wrong) will be out on September 8th, on In The Red. The front cover is posted on our myspace.

Our tour that started sometime back in March is almost at an end, and we are both excited and sad. No shows for 2 weeks, it's nuts!

And don't worry Japan and Australia, we are looking your direction in September...

Recording

Right now we are in Costa Mesa, California recording our second album at the Distillery. Yesterday was awesome, we set everything up and tracked 6 songs...9 more songs today! We are so excited about this because it's our first all-analog recording. We are also playing soccer every morning in preparation for taking everyone on at SXSW. Watch out Austin.

Updates

- We ran out of Surf's Up postcards 3 weeks ago, but we screened hundreds of them yesterday, and all of the packages that you ordered have been mailed out. Enjoy! Also, we are down to our last 100 packages!

- We have a live radio show coming out on LP on Troubleman very soon! This is the same recording we were selling CD-Rs of at shows this fall. The radio show was Choking on Cufflinks (WFMU).

- We never made a Demo Cassette. Whatever keeps popping up on ebay is not us. We only made demo CD-Rs. Our only cassette was released by Woodsist, and it included our LP, the Wild Eyes 7", and the Orphanage 7".

- We are going to fly to Europe next week, and we are really, really excited!

- We will be recording our 2nd album in March at the Distillery in California.

Surf's Up!

So we got back from the UK last week and proceeded to lock ourselves up at our house. Why? Surf's Up! We have packed up and mailed out about 600 packages, and it took about 15 hours a day for 3 days straight. The people at the post office now roll their eyes when they see me. I hope you all enjoy the 7", shirts, postcards and pins, and if you haven't had a chance to get one yet, feel free to order one from viviangirls.net. I might have to start going to a different post office, but it will be totally worth it.

Ah, so I deleted my last post because I didn't think anyone was going to read it anyways, apparently I was wrong, so once again...

I'm sorry! We were being really sarcastic in those videos...the phrase "normal people" is just ridiculous, we love applebee's, and I have also taken a few yoga classes in my day.

While we are definitely young and definitely have a stupid sense of humor, we were not being serious in those videos. We were just goofing around, and we are going to be more careful in future interviews.
